GETTING TO SCION CIDER BAR & PARKING IN CENTRAL 9th SLC

Scion Cider Bar is located in the heart of the Central 9th bar & restaurant focused district. 
A collaborative community of small, locally owned businesses in a walkable, residential neighborhood – creates an eclectic and electric vibe like no other in the city. 
 
Visitors will find a diverse array of food & drink menus from world-class bars and award-winning establishments, among which Scion has earned its own reputation within the mix. 
 
Because of the popularity of the Central9th (C9) neighborhood, PARKING IS AT A PREMIUM. Please plan your visit to Scion Cider Bar accordingly with the following tips. 
 
IMPORTANT: Utah has the strictest DUI law in the country, at 0.05 BAC – it may take only 1-2 drinks for some adults to be over the legal limit. 
 
    • Have a Designated Driver (DD) 

    • Utilize rideshare (Uber/Lyft) or 

    • Ride the Light Rail System – UTA TRAX, which has a stop at 900 South, just a short walk to Scion from there.  The Light Rail is accessible from many downtown lodging areas, and just a short ride from City Center. 

 
  • There is street parking (FREE after 6PM) on the SOUTH side of Jefferson St, on which Scion is located. (NOTE: most of the North side is Residents only permitted parking).

 
  • Angled street parking is also available on both sides of 900 South between West Temple and 300 West – HOWEVER, this area is extremely busy on some weekdays & weekend nights due to the popularity of all of the bars & restaurants that bring crowds to the neighborhood, and it can be difficult to find parking later in the evening.

 
  • There is a Greenbike station in the Central 9th Neighborhood, and rentable electric scooters are available all over SLC, and the 9 Line Bike trail has dedicated lines to travel from East/West on 900 South.
