Since Scion Cider Bar opened in 2021, our intention has been to educate the public about the wide world of cider, from its history as a traditional agricultural product to the industry’s approach to innovation in modern styles, and its place at the table between beer and wine. Cider brings distinctive cultural and regional influences, and a wide range of flavor profiles to enjoy on its own merits, or when pairing thoughtfully with food to elevate the tasting experience. 

Our expert led classes feature offerings with both Utah’s First Certified Pommelier, as well as our own head cidermaker at Scion, who has since earned his Pommelier certification – making them one of less than 150 in the world to lead the way in cider education.
